Cookie Notice

The Sportradar Group attaches a great deal of importance to protecting its users’ privacy and personal data. With this Cookie Notice we explain in detail how we use cookies and other similar technology, their purposes, how long the cookies are stored, and how you can manage them. Please also see our Privacy Notice if you want to know more about our data protection practices.

Please note that other organisations also collect user information on our Websites through cookies and similar technology. Using cookies and other similar technology allows other organisations to help us analyse how our Websites are being used, measure the number of visitors, and display personalized and non-personalized advertising to Third-Party Users. Where a third-party partner drops a cookie, they determine the purpose for which that cookie is dropped and the relevant retention period.

We place cookies or similar files such as pixel tags and web beacons on the devices you use to engage with Sportradar to facilitate Website navigation, to personalize your experience when you engage with Sportradar (including by displaying non-personalized and personalized advertising), and for fraud detection and prevention purposes.

A tracking “pixel” is a transparent graphic image (usually 1 pixel x 1 pixel) or a JavaScript that is placed on a web page and allows for the collection of information regarding the use of the web page that contains the tracking pixel. We collect technical information and information about your interactions and engagement with our Websites through the use of tracking pixels.

“Cookies” are small text files saved onto the working memory (“Session Cookie“) of your computer or permanently stored on the hard disk of your computer (“Permanent Cookie“). The use of cookies enables us to “recognize” you at your next visit and to align the offers on our Websites with your interests. The next time you open our Website on the same device, the cookie and the information stored in it is either sent back to the website that created it (“1st-Party Cookie“) or sent to another website it belongs to (“3rd-Party Cookie“). When you visit our Website, we collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology. Because of how cookies work, our Website cannot access 3rd-Party Cookies; nor can other organisations access the personal data in the cookies we use on our Website.

The cookies and the information in them include, but are not limited to, the IP address of the device an user is using, login data, type and version of browser, the date and time when the user visits our Website, and a cookie ID.

We use cookies in a range of ways to improve your experience on our Website, including to keep you logged in, to analyze the use of our Website in general and to gain insights into how to improve our offering. We also use cookies to analyze or predict our users’ personal preferences and behavior in order to better focus our marketing efforts on their needs and, in cooperation with our advertising partners, to serve our users relevant advertising.

You are a Visitor of Our Website when you visit and interact with our websites, webpages, interactive features, blogs and their respective contents. You can find more information below on the collection of cookies on our Website.

Types of cookies we use

• Functional Cookies

Functional cookies are essential for enabling user movement around our Website and ensuring that our Website functions properly. This category of cookies cannot be disabled.

Please see the Cookie Declaration below for more information about the functional cookies on our Website.

• Analytics Cookies

We use analytics cookies to collect information about how often users visit our Website and how they use it. Social plugins for various online social networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) are integrated into our Websites. These allow you to place bookmarks on these sites and share them with other members of the online social networks. You can recognize social plugins by means of the logos that can be seen on the websites of the online social networks.

If you call up a webpage containing these social plugins on our Websites, a direct connection is established with the servers of the online social network and from there the plugin image (which is now visible to you) and associated functions are communicated directly to your browser, which integrates them into the layout of our Website. If you are logged into the online social network under your username and password at this point, the fact that you are visiting our Website is communicated to the said network and information to this effect can be assigned to your user account.

When you interact with the social plugins, for example, if you share one of our Websites or use the Facebook “Like” or “Share” or the Twitter “Tweet This” function, the content of our Website will be linked with your profile within the online social network. If you are not a member of the online social network or have logged out from these providers before visiting our Website, there is still a possibility that at least your IP address will be communicated and stored there.
